Steven Cravis, a San Francisco-based pianist wrote music for an interactive documentary “Following the Sun” about a Romanian sculptor Liviu Mocan. The documentary was produced by the students of the Babes-Bolyai University in Cluj-Napoka, Romania, and the University of Applied Sciences Mittweida, Germany. WIERZBICKI.ORG designed a cover for Cravis’ album “Positive Transformation Variations” with music used for the movie production. 20th Annual Polish Film Festival Los Angeles
The Polish American Film Society announced the 20th Annual Polish Film Festival in Los Angeles, Hollywood, (October 18 – 24, 2019) celebrating the greatest achievements of Polish filmmakers.
The festival will open on Friday, October 18, 2019, with VALLEY OF THE GODS by Lech Majewski, starring Josh Hartnett, Jaime Ray Newman, John Malkovich and music by Jan A. P. Kaczmarek. The star-studded gala during which both Polish and American moviemakers will walk the red carpet at the WGA Theatre, is an extravagant start to a seven-day-long celebration of Polish Cinema through October 24, 2019 with subsequent screenings at the Laemmle’s NoHo 7 and Monica Film Center. Robert J. Wierzbicki is meber of the ECIAIR 2019 Committee. ECIAIR – The European Conference on the Impact of Artificial Intelligence and Robotics will be held on 31 October–1 November 2019, at the EM-Normandie Business School in Oxford, UK.
The motivation to launch the European Conference on the Impact of AI and Robotics (ECIAIR 2019) has come about as a result of the maturing of artificial intelligence and robotics, particularly of the cognitive computing kind, which is producing an unprecedented revolution in the role of work and professionals in society. So this Conference aims to focus not so much on the technology itself, but rather its consequence on knowledge work and society.
